You might look up resistance soldering on the google search engine, I know
there are plans out there but can't find my link. It is widely used in
making model trains and other projects like that.
If you go to the public library both Popular Mechanics, and Popular science
many years ago published plans to make a spot welder. Look in the Readers
Guide for Periodical Literature, for the issues, and then get the microfilms,
take some quarters along for copies.
