I got a virus once that did that to me...and I only had one HD at the time.
The only wayI was able to fix it was to simply move the HD over to the
second EIDE channel! So maybe moving an internal cable will fix your
problem.
If your HD is set up using a different format from FAT 16 or 32 (say Win NT
for example) the only thing you'll be able to do to fix it is reformat.
