The Bios would show the correct number of head/cylinders, etc, but would
not allow me to in any way mess with those settings, nor could I in any
way access the HD even booting from a DOS 6.22 floppy.
However, the Bios won't allow me to mess with the settings of the
original HD either, and it works. In both cases, HD settings were greyed
out, even with the HD info shown. It appears to be set in an autodetect
mode and I didn't see any setting to override that.

It's moot now, that system will be used for other things, gonna find a
486/66 for Ahha.
