I have seen IndexerLPT mentioned twice in this discussion now.
IndexerLPT comes in two versions: a DOS driver and a 32 Bit VxD that runs
under Win9X. I think there may be some confusion over what IndexerLPT is
doing. IndexerLPT does both linear and circular ( plus helical in the 32
bit version) interpolation calcluations itself. It is not just a pulse
generator.

If the "Black Box" is going to emulate ILPT then it will have to do the
motion calculations itself (linear and circular). The only thing the PC
would have to do is interpret your G-code program and send high level motion
commands to the "Black Box". This is not what most people here are
indicating that they think the "Black Box" should do.
