Right as rain!

This is a comment that I posted on RCM:

I hadn't used my NMTB holders much since I got the kwik
switch holders. However I recently found out that the kwik
switch holders don't hold a candle to the standard holders
when
using large cutters. The difference is like day and night.
When I say this I am speaking specifically of a 3/4" cutter
with a 2" flute. In the kwik change holder the cutter
howled
and left vibration marks all over the work, but with the same
cutter in the standard holder The howling stopped and the
vibration marks just vanished. I cannot tell you how
surprised
I was. Universal is fine tooling but it was totally outclassed
by my cheepie standard holder in this case. BTW this incident
has me looking closely at reverting back to standard holders
for all my work and perhaps selling off the kwik switch
tooling.
