Re: O/T Patent applications

I will add my support to the idea that the patent process is costly in both
time and money... I am co-inventor on a few patents myself and have some
patent improvements listed also... it never made me rich by any stretch of
the imagination... if 1% of what was spent on the legal side was spent on
actual product development, the "mouse trap" would truly be a wondrous
thing.
One other thought with regard to the theft of patent ideas... not all
countries abide by the rules... especially those that are into the cheap
mass production of "junk" quality items... and aside to that, there is a
whole field of endeavor devoted to this, called reverse engineering!!!!
If someone steals my idea and runs with it... I will spend my time and money
coming up with something else instead of fighting a legal battle... lets
face it, more ideas and gadgets has to make a better world than more
lawyers...
