Hi Bill,
if you're willing to use strait slit couplings instead of the helical type
you could build a full set of your own on a mill cheaper than buying ONE of
the commercial couplings
mount a short bar of material vertically in a vise with a V-block
find center and drill/ream thru the length of the coupling + some extra
use a thin slitting saw (~.025) to slice off the top for a new Z zero
move down the thickness of the hub and start
cutting slits 2/3 thru the material about .050 apart like so
view from top
1st cut [0 deg]
<-
O
2nd cut [180 deg]
O
->
3rd cut [90 deg]
O ^
|
4th cut [270 deg]
| O
v
repeat for 5th to 8th cuts to make 2 full sets of slits
move down another hub thickness and "part off" with the saw
drill & tap the hubs for set screws or get fancy and
slit the hubs for the clamp on style mounting
the slit type couplings are not as strong as the helical type so make them
bigger in diameter if you have room to mount them
