Engineering data will give you the torsional stiffness of these units. For
my application it was a bit too much. I just spent
a day whizzing out some stiffer couplings out of 7075 aluminum. Considering
the high prices for these things it was
worth a day to make some. The shaft alignment on my machine is accurate
enough that I don't need the helical type
really. I need a little better than a solid coupling though.
