They're zero backlash by definition, since they're one single piece.

But you need to watch out for the windup. If the coupling is not stiff
enough torsionally it can cause resonance (feedback) problems with a
high-gain controller. I ran into that problem while looking into
retrofitting a helical coupling into a pen plotter my former employer made.
