Yes the ballscrews are ~90% efficient whereas acme leadscrew is at best 45%
efficient. But since the pitch was wrong on the Chinese made acme lead screw
I would say you were luck to get 30% efficiency. As a matter of fact, I
measured the pitch error as .001 per inch.
I used Mcmaster-Carr ballscrews 5/8D .2" pitch. When I got them they turnout
to be Thompson ballscrews however I have seen the equivalent in NOOK
ballscrews and think they are even better. With ballscrews and a 2/1 ratio I
get 180 IPM using servo motors. With stepper motors I was getting 60 IPM as
