Even on LN2 you get significant bleed off.
Certainly not as bad as LHe but I did some
calculations that said that the bleed from a 20 L
dewar for LN2 was enough to flush a small heat
treating furnace. :-) i.e. 8" x 8" x 16" work
space.
Note also that He has a heat of vaporization of 6
cal/gm whereas N2's is 47.6. Lot's of difference
in the amount of heat you need to transfer thru
the walls of the dewar.
