Thanks. This is just the set-up I'm using. I may have the motors running a
bit lean on current at the moment (they only just get warm) but I don't
think this would affect their top speed would it?
The 1mm screw is to try to give me enough resolution for making the watch
parts with a basic, half-step driver. Perhaps when I've proved the theories
and saved up a bit more, machine No.2 can have faster screws and
microstepping drivers. At the moment I'm on a VERY tight budget - hence all
the effort in making this thing out of stuff salvaged from the scrap yard!
