Currently, the ./compile script (and the ./install script, too) compile and
link all possible combinations of EMC, for all hardware versions as well
as all software emulation versions. Then, in the .ini file, you select which
components you want by uncommenting the specific routines desired.
(Of course, some combinations don't make sense, or conflict on unsharable
resources.) So, yes, it is done at runtime. Linuix does not have DLLs,
but a kernel module is similar in a number of ways to a DLL or VXD.
