Hi Vic:
Have you considered farming that pocket out to get wire EDM cut.
A 6 1/2" deep pocket with a 1/4" corner radius is going to be a pig's
breakfast no matter how you try to mill it.
I'd consider milling it with a 5 axis mill if you can tip the head to pick
out the corners, but having it wired will cost you only a couple of hundred
bucks.
By the time you fart around with it trying to mill it you'll have spent that
much and more, and you'll have a crummy job to boot.
Be a hero, get it wired, take 10% for handling the job, and get it out of
your life.
