Hi Jon,

Yes, a good idea. I use superglue a lot for temporary fixing - when I am
making watch parts by hand I can superglue them onto bigger bits of metal to
use as 'handles' and, to release them, you just need to either flex one of
the parts or warm them up.
I wouldn't have thought about doing this with such big chunks of metal
though.
