One big problem is that Red Hat 5.2 is not a totally cast in concrete package.
Over the months that they sell a disk under that label, it gets different kernels,
as those are released as production versions. You need a 2.0.36 kernel to
be consistant with the Real Time Patch. if your kernel is NOT 2.0.36, you
need to get a 2.0.36 kernel source kit, which can be downloaded from
the Red Hat web site. It is pretty big, though, so you'd want a fast internet
connection to do that.
