Re: What does everybody use...

I just wanted to add to my recent response about what I use.
I went over the CNC milling machine pretty well, but left out
the CAD/CAM part. I have another PC I use for CAD/CAM.
It runs Windows 95, and I use Bobcad/CAM, Ver. 16.1 for
the more complex objects. For simple things, I have a bunch
of little (1 page or so) C programs that ask 5-10 questions and
then write a piece of G-code to perform the job. There are
programs to cut circular bored holes, rectangular pockets,
circular patterns of holes, etc. I want to put these on my web
page, but I have to write up a little description of what they
do, and what the terse questions really mean.
