No, my servo amps drive DC servo motors from an analog velocity command signal from the CNC control.
This is the way most of the big, old CNC controls did it, and is the way the EMC software also does it.
So, my amps are compatible with the Servo-to-Go motion card, Delta-Tau, and others, and are comparable
(at the signal interface) to Servo Dynamics, Kollmorgen, Copley Controls and other servo amps.
