These are not parted out like at an auction. They are powered up and
available for inspection at the dealer. The Aloris toolposts alone
go for about $1200-$1500 in this size lathe. They also both include
a 12" 3 Jaw chuck, a faceplate, and collet adaptor. While their
asking price may be a bit high today, just 3-4 years ago this kind of
machine would have commanded at least $8000, if you could even find
one.

As far as keeping their value, there are lots of people in the US
that have a place to tuck one of these in, and not worry about
competing to make a profit. They just need a lathe to turn a part to
fix a tractor, or to make a couple shafts or nuts or whatever.
