3 choices.

1 - learn to do everything without a mouse
2 - quickly become a Linux pro and learn how to load another mouse driver
with a different mouse
3 - Change to a different mouse and reinstall

My experience is if the mouse doesn't work during install it will not work
later. Usually most problems are traceable to hardware incompatibility. I
have had some problem with cheap no name mice, but never with a real
Logitech or Microsoft mouse.
