Now, if this is the case, how would one be able to use all this stuff?
I've put stuff together before, but always following an example or
schematic.

Assuming you wanted to use the *BUNCHES* of mice available to you,
unsoldering the necessary parts and assembling them onto
an experimenter's board for use on the back end of your motor;
is there some schematic we ignorant can follow?
