Tool up

With my new found cash I'm cautiously eager to invest... can you guess what
in? : )
We had a long discussion about which would be better, knee mill or desktop
mill. I'm not sold on either idea but my friend with the beaver vbrp is
really desperate for the floor space the beaver is using up. He is ready to
sell me the beaver for £450 straight away, hopefully I can weastle (Sorry)
it down even futher by acting all suprised when he tells me the hiab crane
will be £200 or something like that. It's an option anyway. I'd be very
grateful if any of you know of an online seller of tooling for bigger mills.
The spindle on the beaver will be either a 30 or 40 international. I'd like
to have a look at some sites selling the bits to see how much I can expect
to add on before I cut anything. Feel free to 'warn' me of the dangers
involved price wise with larger tooling but I would much rather be able to
see for myself because I can look at what I need best of all, I hope I can
anyway. The site must list the prices for the tooling if possible. The guy
keeps telling me the beaver is in very good condition with virtually no
scratches or damaged to the ways. I think I'll try and get hold of a few
pictures first. It's triple phase so it's either a static converter or a new
motor. Do static converters loose a little power over rotary ones?
Thanks again for any help,
John He.
