I wonder how much trouble it would be to "fool" EMC into using the thrid
axis as feedback of spindle position. If we're only using X & Z for
basic lathe motions could we set a third rotary axis as the spindle? A
lower relolution encoder for position and either no control of speed
from EMC or a servo output controling speed. If a voltage signal could
control spindle speed then the parameters in EMC should be setable for
the slow acceleration and fast speeds of a "spindle axis"?
