finished downloading it and installed it. seems very powerfull. watched
the posts from several days back and downloaded a trial of millwizard too.
it appears that i can create the surface with amoophium and then mill it
with millwizard! combined prices about $350... and it wont do 4 or 5 axis
machining, just the 'rastor' stuff with a ball end mill (but thats what sand
paper was created for, right?)
looks very interesting!

Amorphium sounds much more reasonable, and probably has more gadgets
for you to play with as well, if you don't have need of a control as well,
I'd take a close look at it.

In some 3D programs it is called a height field. Amorphium is one of the
lower cost modelers that can create a height field, it has options for
cylindrical, planar, or spherical application. It has lots of other nifty
features too. One of the neatest things about it is that the demo is a 24
hour clock. It does not expire in 30 days or after 100 uses, but only after
you have actually spent 24 hours playing with it. Plenty of time to learn
how to use it for developing a height field.
