When you get tired of watching the cutter passing over parts of the
model that you don't need cut, be sure to check out StlWork.com. It
will eliminate flats within the rectangular extents and can also cut
just the portion of the model you want in X or Y or "Z", and can also
cut with waterline strategies that eliminate the slower Z axis from
90% of the cuts. 30 day full working demo too.
