Maybe it is your use of the English language and I just don't
understand what you are saying. It sounds to me that you are trying
to give away a copy of the software that you have. It was not clear
that you had requested someone to TRANSFER their license to you. If
you own a license to software, it often does not allow you to give it
away. The license only authorizes you to use the functionality. It
certainly does not authorize you to make any copies and provide them
to others. If software is no longer available you cannot purchase a
new license for it. In other words the manufacturer can withhold the
licensing of their copyrighted software.

For example Bobcad no longer sells version 10 of Bobcad for DOS. I
happen to have a couple of these in my old stocks that are in the
same condition as purchased, unused for resale. I could sell one of
these to you. Bobcad will not. And unless I supported it myself, you
would be on your own. Bobcad stopped supporting all DOS versions of
Bobcad when they started to ship Bobcad 17. Now if you started to
give copies of that software to others because Bobcad would not
support it anymore, you would clearly be exceeding the license that
came with the program.

The same applies to your Emco software.

I offered you several suggestions as to how to use your Bobcad
software. It will do exactly as you described in another post, make
simple ellipses. The command is under the Arc drawing functions in
version 17. The values that you enter describe the length and width
of the ellipse. You will have to offset the geometry by the tool
radius if you are not using a v-tipped engraving cutter. That command
is found under Other (curves) drawing functions.

Hopefully that will help you a little bit.
