Just for the record, I do not believe that supposedly
'non-transferable' software licensing has ever been upheld in court.
In fact, software licenses in general are mostly untested with regard
to some of their more common but rather extreme provisions. Please
understand that I am not saying you can give away unlicensed copies,
or that you can resell old version when you UPGRADE to a new one, but
rather that _I am not aware_ of any court decision upholding license
terms which purport to prevent you from transfering your complete
license to someone else.

One reason I like EMC is that as a creation of US Government
employees, it is in the public domain.
