Jon -
I heard someone say Master5 supports a gamer's joystick. Do you
know what type of interface/protocol is used? Do you think a
joystick-type implementation would be best for our kinds of
machines? I'm curious, because I'd like to cobble my own version
together that would also include a handwheel like on many
commercial machines.
TIA,
Carlos Guillermo

Carlos,
When I looked at what Ahha wants for their pendant, this didn't
seem too
bad, though the Ahha pendant is a simple plug-n-play for Ahha
users.
I'd waste at least $1000 in labor trying to duplicate that thing,
thus
my appraisal that it didn't seem too bad. Not trying to hawk the
product, just thought I'd point it out, of course folks can decide
for
themselves if it meets their needs and price point.
To make a full disclosure, this company approached me asking for a
quote
on making a couple prototype parts. I found the pendant while
looking at
their site. They don't know I have mentioned here or anywhere
else,
there's no attempt to influence landing a job. I mentioned it
strictly
on a FYI basis.
