RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Found a commercial CNC pendant

Yikes! $395 is pretty steep for an enclosure, a few pots, a
keypad and some basic electronics.

It apparently sends the raw analog signal from the feed and
spindle speed pots back to the PC on a DB25 cable. How can you
handle this at the PC with the CNC software? Are there A-D
converters in the PC that can read an analog line on the parallel
port and provide a value to the software?

Assuming the pendant has a microcontroller and ADC's onboard,
wouldn't serial communication with the PC be a better way to go?

Just wondering...

I know many folks here could do this cheaper, but the price seems
