Vector generates CNC code from entities that are drawn, *and* only
while they are selected, in the order and direction of the
selection. When a chain or line or arc is selected, it turns red and
an arrowhead at the center of each entity shows the direction of
the "vector". You are free to draw anyting you want, but only those
entities desired and "selected" will be cut when you generate the CNC
code. The order of cut is highlighted by the simulate function which
visually numbers the entities in the order they will be cut
(temporarily), the arrows show the direction, and these can be
reversed by clicking on either end as John Guenther indicated earlier.

There is no provision to cut part of an entity as by definition in
Vector if you draw it and select it, it is to be cut, that's how the
program works. There are no hidden cuts that are made magically. If
you want to cut 95 degrees of a 180 degree arc, you would probably
just double click the arc and change it's end point to 95 degrees.

Well, there is one magic thing, Vector assumes that if you cut
something, it should rapid to the start position, and if you cut two
things that are separated by some distance, it should also rapid
between them.
