The way ATX supplies are SUPPOSED to work, they remember the condition
before power was lost, and will power back up if line power was lost when
running,
but not power up if line power was lost and returns when the machine had
been
switched off by the power button. I have an Intel motherboard and a generic

ATX power supply in my CNC system, and I power the whole system
up and down with a power strip. It works as I described above.
