Hello John.
Thanks very much for the information.
I was thinking about the 2000 size mill because it seems to have a
larger working area so I would be able ( hopefully ) to do slightly
larger batches of small doors etc. The 4inch rotary table plus
tailstock for the fourth axis to do the spiral work and fluting.(I am
probably trying to run before I can walk! but it should prove
interesting.I have looked on the camtronics site at the driver boards
but I dont have any electronics skill so I think I would be better
off buying the boards ready made up and perhaps wiring the boards to
the steppers and the pc.
I have'nt found a supplier in the uk as yet but ther are lots of
sites in the USA, I can't wait to start.
In your experience,what sort of speed can I expect to achieve using
say 175oz in steppers and 2 amp bipolar chopper drives, I will only
be taking light cuts in wood.
