RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Smithy Granite

Sorry to keep coming back to this, but I keep getting different answers to
questions on the Smithy and Shoptask

I am told taht the specs don't realy reflect the milling area you can USE on
these. On the phone with the rep from Smithy, he told me basicly i could
mill a 10" cube (I could care less about the depth, but thats the way he
discribed the milling area) Basicly- anyone that has a newer Shop Task or a
newer Smithy Granite-- If I clap a peice of palte to the table- with a 3/8
mill, what id the LARGEST rectangle I can mill without moving the stock?

Also-- I see lots of CNC conversions for the shoptask, but never for the
Smithy Smithy's "kit" is very expensive. Just wondering- I have One of
Dan's controlers, could I just get some hardware and motors to convert the
Smithy and save some $$?
