Hi Craig,
I have an older Shoptask 1720XMTC I bought about 4 years ago. I could
clamp a 10" x 11" plate to the table and get around the outside of it
but it would be close. That would require removing the chuck. (no big
deal) If the 'plate' is taller than 1.5" then you have to drop the
plate size back to 9" X 11" to clear the spindle flange.

I have a friend who just got a newer Shoptask about six months ago.
For your example its the same machine but there have been a number of
improvements to it to correct thing I didn't like about mine. The
nice thing is that I can buy the modification from Shoptask if I want
to upgrade my machine.
