The academic version of solid edge is avaiable in the UK for 49 UKP.
See http://www.solid-edge.co.uk
It's advertised on the US site but with no published price.
This is the full version of V10 with no restrictions on save, print,
assembly etc.
The only way it's 'crippled' is the disclaimer at startup that it's
an academical version and saved files won't open in the commercial
version.
Still not bad though getting you hot sticky little mitts on a $6,000
for $70
