I've used DesignCAD since DOS version 3. Version 7 went on Windows, then
D.C.97, then D.C.Pro2000, and I've just upgraded to the D.C.MAX.
V-e-e-r-r-r-y-y powerful, 2-D & 3-D, plus animation & ability to display
your work on a webpage. Another nice feature is their BasicCAD program that
allows you to write your own commands & functions. Also, they can translate
to-and-from almost any format; .dxf, .dwg, etc. I've always said that it
(DesignCAD) was 99% AutoCAD at 10% of the price, and that still seems to
hold true. Still, my favorite is their old Version 5 in DOS. Very
user-friendly, yet very powerful. I use it when I'm in a hurry.
