Gates usually makes VERY good belts, ie. top of the line. I wonder
if there is some other problem, here. Are you getting the belts tight
enough? If they are a bit loose, and slipping, it could wear down the
driving surface. Also, if the belts are run at very high speeds, they tend
to try to flip over. Keeping them tight will help reduce this problem.
You may need to tighten the belt after it has run for a while. Is swarf,
coolant or oil getting on the belt? That can cause plenty of problems.
