Oh, that's much better. Ther ARE some manufacturers of low-grade
power transmission screws that are rated in the range of .001-.003"
pre INCH. Definitely not designed for machine tools, but for jacking
up cars, raising pallets, clamping carpentry joints, etc. Obviously,
there'd be no hope of an anti-backlash ball nut with these, they'd
bind up.
