I'm not enough of a computer guru to know the difference. I do know that
the card drives my rotary table just fine. Here's how Quatech describes
their card:

"This PCMCIA parallel port card plugs into a Type II PCMCIA socket and is
PC-Card 2.1 compliant. It supports the Enhanced Parallel port (EPP)
interface. ..."
