Digital Knobs - a solution?

Hi
Picking up on the digital knob thread the other day (or whatever the thread
was called). I remembered about a product by Griffin Technology called the
"Powermate" - it's a USB driven knob that emulates keystrokes (say left and
right cursor keys for instance).
It is continuously rotateable (don't know the resolution or if there are
detents) - has an extremely sexy brushed aluminium (MacOSX :-) look and a
scriptable blue LED light that can be turned on/off - extremely useful in a
CNC environment of course :-)
Works fine on the Mac - and for a PC too (win 2000 & XP).
Here's the URL ...
http://www.griffintechnology.com/audio/pwrmate.html
A friend has one, so I'll make more enquiries regarding resolution and
detents.
Cheers
Neil
