hey Mariss,

I'm the guy thats been calling you alot for the last couple of weeks
with the bridgeport retrofit. i bought a seperate power supply for the
drive which is a conventional p.c. type supply that has a 5v output
directly from the power supply. is this alright to use? i've checked
for the obvious potential mechanical problems such as a binding screw
etc. etc. when this motor is attempting to run in the direction that
its having problems with, it will sometimes get up to speed. when and
if it gets to speed it runs smooth but skips a step here and there. i
have also tried to adjust the trim pot and it seems to help but it is
unscrewed to its max and it seems like if there was more adjustment
it might like it. there are alot of settings in the master5 software
and it has its effects.i have tried to accelerate the motor slower
and faster to try to rectify the problem or at least gain some
insight as to whats going on.i am running the 210 in the half step
mode and have tried other modes as well but i need help as i've ran
out of knowledge. time to learn again !!
