tool comp

I probably should have mentioned it in other post about C++, but anyway ...
am looking for source code examples in any language, relating to tool comp
on outlines of parts. Solutions need only be for lines and arcs. I have
tool comp running on all of my polar canned routines, but that's just
adding and subtracting a radius. I can probably solve it myself but
examples will make it really transparent. Anyone?
