I am running a Pentium 266, 64MB RAM, 3.1GB drive, S3 video card, floppy and
CD-ROM. The machine is standalone with NO networking, only sneaker net. I
normally run steppermod.o but have begun testing freqmod.o in the last few
day. Normal rapids under EMC are 12 to 15 IPM on a Sherline 5400 with 20TPI
leadscrews. Drivers are normally Camtronics 5AMP Bipolar drivers at 35
volts. Steppers are Pacific Scientific E21RFS-JSS-NS-03 8 wire motors
coupled directly to the lead screws. I cut steel, aluminum and brass with
it without any problems (so far).
