Hi Jon,

In reference to the "Axisdupe.gif" file in the
"circuits" folder of our files area.....

The purpose of the jumper is to have the duplicator
circuit fake the idle step pulse in the same logic
state that the AHHA card is programmed to use
for the idle state. That is, if the AHHA uses a
short positive pulse to step, then it idles at a
logic low and the jumper should be set to the
position connected to ground. It would probably
also work if looped around just like the direction
signals, but I didn't think of that at the time.
Only drawback I can think of is that the initial
state of the unselected step output will be
indeterminate on power-up. In any event, all
stepping needs to be stopped while the AUX
control signal is changing state.
