James, that is great, thanks. Where did you get chip thickness and
what is that?
How do you change chip thickness in your spreadsheet?
For carbide cutters in stainless I looked up 275 sfpm in Mach Hand.
That gives closer to 5000 rpm. Still seems way to high for me.
The cimco software is great, thanks
I guess the real question is which surface speed to use.
