Yes. There are several, but emacs, my favorite, has been LEFT OFF
the BDI. I guess there is a limit to how much you can jam onto a CD.
vi should be there, but I really don't wish that on my worst enemy!
Perhaps there is a simple editor built into the KDE environment.

G-code should be totally plain ASCII characters, alphabet and numbers,
plus the ( ) and . That should be all the characters used.
