Hi Jerry,

I know you can read g-code with a dos command of 'type filename'
and see a screen of nice text lines. Or any word processor.

if, however the program mentioned stored it in some proprietary
format the type command would return a screen of nmenonics which
would look like gobbelty-gook (standard industry termonology)

¤P£ô- or worse. (much worse)

g-code would be like

G17:0100:1100
G18:1020:0175
M:01

or some very readable TEXT file.

I have wasted hours 'fixing' floppies and reformatting them and
checking drives only to find that the file was not readable by the
program I wanted to use.

A simple export or save-as fixed the 'problem'

now if somebody can tell me how to get gerber files from
PCBExpress....
