This is a little close to being a flame and not a useful comment. Please
let's not start another round. It would be far more useful and very
acceptable to explain what Vector can do and how to do it instead of
this post.
It is my understanding that the controller is really the determining
factor here as all the CAM program has to do is call a G code (G33?). To
do CNC threading requires an encoder on the spindle that the controlled
program is then syncing to. As far as I am aware TurboCNC is the only
hobby class controller to support this feature. Ahha also offers it, but
at a pretty hefty cost.
Personally I have Vector and I had a licensed version of Dolphin. I sold
Dolphin as I did not find it as easy to use nor as polished as Vector.
Both programs were current versions unlike some on the list that are
comparing 2 and 3 year old versions of one program to current versions
of the other.
