The reasoning behind using a dedicated PC for PID is to get servo capability
from stepper software, such as Ahha, Master5 and cncpro. All of these push
a computer to its limits just to run the profiler.

Again, the Rutex R997 converts S/D to +/-10V but the PID is analog and there
is no way to adjust the limit of following error. Also, $73 per axis ($92
for differential input) plus shipping from Australia is a little too much.
