PID setting in EMC

Evening,
I am using EMC with geco 340 drives and 600oz in dc servo motors to control
my router table. I am currently bench testing the system and having difficultly
with the PID settings in the emc.ini file. does anyone have any base line setting
to get me pointed in the right direction? Is it even possible to get the correct setting
on the bench with no resistance on the motors?
any help would be apreciated.
Thank you
